Chief killed in broad daylight at Gomoa Akraman
The Gyaasehene of Gomoa Akraman in the Gomoa East District of the Central region has reportedly been killed in his house by some unidentified men.
He was known as Yaw Egyir but popular as ‘Osebo’ and in his 40’s. Information gathered by Adom News’ Kofi Adjei suggested that the group broke into his house around 7:30am on Monday, vandalised property and killed him by smashing building blocks on his head.
Kofi Adjei, who visited the scene where the chief’s body was dumped, reported on Adom FM’s ‘Dwaso Nsem’ morning show that the late chief was found in a pool of blood with his home and vehicle vandalised.
It was unclear what might have triggered the barbaric act, but reports claim that they suspect the deceased was behind the death of a man Sunday night during a gun battle.
The suspects bolted after committing the crime. The police have conveyed the body to the mortuary.
The situation has thrown the village into a state of shock.
