GH¢470,000 Taxpayers’ Money To Be Used To Fund Akufo Addo’s US Trip

According to reports, the president would be sending a whopping GH¢470,000 taxpayers’ money on his hotel accommodation vis-à-vis flight fee as well as many others.

A letter shared by the Member of Parliament for South Dayi Constituency, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor saw a letter sent by the hotel to the Embassy of Ghana in the United States and the Office of the President.

The president would be staying at the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, between November 29, 2021, to December 2, 2021, along with his delegation and they would be spending US$400 to US$8,000 a night for a hotel room.

The total estimated money that would be spent during the trip has been said to be ranging from US$73,395 (GH¢470,000) upwards.
