(+VIDEO) Opambour reacts to new MOMO tax; asks when Gov’t will do something to ease the hardship on Ghanaians

Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom popularly known as Prophet 1 has angrily reacted to the new mobile money tax introduced by the government of Ghana.

Days after Minister of communication Ursula Owusu dropped a hint that all payments made via electronics was going taxed, it was brought to reality when Ken Ofori Atta in his 2022 budget statement stated that there will be a charge of 1.75% on all mobile money transactions.

When passed by Parliament, all electronic money transactions (eg. mobile) exceeding 100 cedis a day will be taxed.

Ghanaisnas after this directive was announced has expressed their anger and frustrations at the government for hard-pressing the ordinary Ghanaian into hardship.

Prophet 1 reacting to this new tax which will become a burden when passed by parliament has stated that the government keeps burdening Ghanaians with taxes that could have been scraped to ease the hardship on the Ghanaian.

Reacting to the news when informed by his Junior Pastor, he asked the government when they will do something to ease the hardship on Ghanaians.

With pains in his voice, he repeated it several times when asking the government the number of jobs they’ve created.
