Wendy Shay wins ‘song theft’ case: gets ‘Pray for the world’ back on YouTube

Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay is back in the news again, and this time, she’s letting her fans know that  her ‘Pray for the World” song is back on YouTube.

About a week ago, Rufftown Records Wendy Shay released her brand new single for the year titled, ‘Pray for the world.’

The video of the song was however pulled down on YouTube after reports that it shared some similarities with popular hit song of 2020, ‘Jerusalema.’

A very upset Wendy Shay came out to defend herself and the beat producer, MOG Beatz and revealed that her lawyers were working on the matter.

“@mogbeatz this is the Country we are living in ooo …I will fight for my right because Pray for the World has a different chord progression from Jerusalema.
SHAYGANG don’t worry my lawyers are dealing YouTube
#prayfortheworld🌎🙏,” she wrote on Instagram.

The good news today however, is that the issue has been solved and the video is back on YouTube.

“SHAYGANG we won ..yes we move ! SG ur Queen never stole any song oo …Pray for the world is back on YouTube and all digital platforms,” she shared on Instagram.
