Young Man To Open The First Non – Alcoholic Bar After He Quit Smoking And Drinking

A former alcoholic has recently taken to social media to announce that in two months, he will be the owner of the first non-alcoholic drinking spot in Accra.

John Asogonnde shared that his intention is to provide options for those who are struggling to quit the intake of alcohol.

Taking to his Instagram page, John wrote;

Three years ago today, I decided to quit smoking and drinking.

My journey didn’t end there. I went on to make conscious efforts towards becoming a better man, a better son, a better sibling, a better friend, a better human being.

Since that decision, I’ve lived purposefully and created positive habits for the much needed transformation.

But all work and no play, makes John a dull boy. This was quickly evident to me as my social life became almost non-existent. If you knew ‘John Hermit’, he was a party animal frequenting all the plush nightclubs and bars in the city.

I’ve always been a very social person. I love the idea of getting dressed and going to a fun event. I wanted to be able to attend exciting parties that are decent.

However, it’s practically impossible to go anywhere in Accra for a fun night without the dominance of alcohol and smoking.

So I arrived at the conclusion that if it’s not out there, I’d create one myself. Thus the birth of EDEN BAR, Accra’s first non-alcoholic bar set to open this December.

We warmly welcome all individuals from all walks of life because we believe everyone deserves to enjoy a night out with a well crafted cocktail or a premium glass of wine. No matter your motivation, if you want to keep a clear head and not drink alcohol, we are here for you.

At Eden Bar, we’ll serve the most fantastic non-alcoholic cocktails and beer varieties the world has ever known. We’ll also feature an extensive non-alcoholic wine collection that would leave you wondering if you just drunk from Cana (get it? The wine Jesus made from water? Exactly!)

We will treat you to live entertainment, delicious food options, game nights, karaoke, movies and so much more.

This project means a lot to me and I’m glad it’s finally coming together after almost two years of planning.

Get in touch with me if you share in this vision and would like to be a part of our team as well as share any ideas on taking this initiative to the top.”
